Health authorities in Uganda and neighboring countries have expanded community engagement efforts as part of ongoing Ebola response activities.
The campaigns focus on public awareness, early reporting of symptoms, safe caregiving practices, and encouraging cooperation with contact tracing teams.
WHO officials have repeatedly stressed that community trust remains one of the most important factors in outbreak control.
Public health teams are working with local leaders, religious institutions, community health workers, and civil society organizations to improve awareness and counter misinformation.
Previous outbreaks have demonstrated that effective community engagement can significantly improve detection and containment efforts.
