AU-EU Youth Lab Opens Entrepreneurship and Innovation Grants for East African Youth Organisations
The AU-EU Youth Lab has open calls for its Entrepreneurship Grants and Innovation Grants, offering youth led organisations in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and several other African countries funding of up to 42,000 euros and 31,500 euros respectively. The Entrepreneurship Grants support youth led initiatives that expand skills and enterprise opportunities and improve the policy environment for young entrepreneurs, while the Innovation Grants back youth organisations developing locally relevant solutions to community and systemic challenges.
Eligible applicants must be non profit, youth led entities operating as trusts, community based organisations, NGOs or cooperatives with a clear social or environmental mission. Applications close on 23 September 2026.
The calls sit within a broader window of open development funding tracked for September, including the Africa Europe Youth Academy's Spaces for Youth grants covering Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and other countries, which provide direct grants for youth focused safe spaces and leadership programming.
Target:Youth led civil society organizations, social enterprises and community based groups across East Africa seeking program and innovation funding; regional youth networks preparing September and October funding pipelines.
