AfDB Opens Kenya Consultancy Opportunity for Water and WASH Infrastructure

NAIROBI, Kenya — 11 August 2026

The African Development Bank has opened an expression-of-interest opportunity for a consultancy firm to support the design, compliance and supervision of water, hydrogeology and WASH infrastructure in Kenya, creating a new procurement opportunity within the country's water-development sector.

The consultancy forms part of the IMPRESED project and was published by the African Development Bank on 11 August 2026.

The opportunity is significant within Kenya's wider water and sanitation development agenda, where infrastructure gaps continue to affect access to reliable water services, public health and resilience to climate variability.

The focus on hydrogeology is particularly relevant in areas where groundwater forms an important component of water supply.
