AfDB Launches 2026 Regional Economic Outlook and Country Focus Reports for Africa

Continental, including EAC Partner States | 28 to 31 July 2026

The African Development Bank Group's Country Economics Department began officially launching the 2026 Regional Economic Outlooks and Country Focus Reports for its 54 regional member countries on 28 July, running through 31 July.

The reports translate the 2026 African Economic Outlook into region and country level analysis under the theme "Mobilising Africa's Development Financing at Scale in a Fragmented World," integrating national policy perspectives and region specific financing challenges.

Coordinated dissemination events are being held across regional member countries, including East African Partner States, to deliver localised findings directly to national policymakers. The launch series is intended to strengthen the Bank's engagement with country level policy dialogue at a moment when several EAC members face persistent fiscal constraints and financing gaps, themes that overlapped directly with the EAC Monetary Affairs Committee's own convergence findings reported earlier this week.
